CHOICES FOR PRP TREATMENTS
Based on the desired outcome, PRP is a treatment that can be administered in multiple ways.
At Crystal Cosmetic Clinic, PRP therapies are mostly used in two forms:
THE “VAMPIRE FACIAL,” also known as skin needling
A microneedling device is used in the Vampire Facial treatment to deliver Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to the skin.
PRP Injection
In PRP injections, Platelet Rich Plasma is injected into areas where traditionally dermal fillers has been placed to, such as lines around mouth, the under-eye dark circles , and areas that need volume and smoothing.
Your cosmetic nurse will choose the best PRP treatment for you and establish a customized treatment plan during your skin consultation.

OUR PRP TREATMENT RESULTS
Most patients experience mild to moderate swelling in the treatment area because of the volume of fluid that is injected As your platelets activate, it’s also typical to feel hot or red. It’s also possible for bruises to develop and take several days to go away. The reaction is often minor. The immune system doesn’t regard the injected platelets as foreign.
Patients will notice improvements in their skin’s tone, texture, and moisture about three weeks after treatment. But it can take anywhere from six weeks to three months for the generation of new cells and collagen to grow. When this happens, patients can expect to see a general rejuvenating effect on their skin, which will progressively get better. Hair in the thinning area may thicken and become denser following PRP treatments.
In most cases, three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart will be needed. Results from PRP therapy can last up to eighteen months, according to studies. However, outcomes could differ because the injected substance is entirely a by-product of your body. Results can also be impacted by variables like stress, illness, and smoking.
PRP THERAPY FAQ
PRP therapy: WHAT IS IT?
Platelet Rich Plasma is referred to as PRP. Your own blood is used in PRP skin rejuvenation therapy, a natural treatment that helps thicken your hair and improve the texture, quality, and firmness of your skin.
In contrast to conventional anti-wrinkle and skin firming procedures that depend on injecting artificial fillers into the skin, a PRP Vampire Facial uses cosmetic injections or microneedling to infuse your own natural Platelet Rich Plasma into the skin. When these growth-rich platelets are injected into the skin, they will increase the skin's natural collagen production, leaving the skin looking firmer, smoother, and healthier.
For individuals seeking a more natural approach to skin rejuvenation, The Vampire Facial is a well-liked treatment option. It is appropriate for all age groups and can address a range of facial issues, including wrinkles and skin laxity, as well as acne, acne scars, and rosacea.
A natural hair growth and regeneration therapy, the Vampire Facial, PRP rejuvenation treatment is now well-liked worldwide for its safety and effectiveness. It stimulates hair follicles to improve hair thickness, volume, and overall scalp health.
A tube-based blood sample is taken during a PRP treatment. To separate the platelets suspended in plasma from other blood components, the tube is centrifuged, or spun.
Next, we inject your nutrient-rich PRP, also known as "liquid gold," back into the skin's layers. These platelets release growth factors that encourage the formation of collagen when they come into touch with the skin's collagen.
These natural ingredients encourage the formation of new skin cells, stimulate collagen production, and promote healing in the weeks and months after treatment.
'VAMPIRE FACIAL' AND PRP THERAPY: ARE THEY THE SAME?
Combining PRP therapy with other skin therapies is an effective and adaptable therapeutic option. A popular combination that is frequently used is PRP with skin needling, also known as a "Vampire Facial."
Using a microneedling tool, your PRP is injected into selected facial areas during a vampire facial. By stimulating the generation of new skin cells and collagen, these injections help the skin repair and regenerate, resulting in smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin.
Many skin issues, such as uneven skin tone and texture, scarring, ageing and prevention, can be effectively treated with vampire facials.
HOW DO WE PERFORM PRP VAMPIRE FACIAL?
An autologous procedure, such as a vampire facial, uses your own cells to regenerate skin.
A centrifuge is used to separate the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) from your red blood cells after 8 to 24 milliliters of your blood are drawn, much like in a blood test. After being separated, the platelets are ready to be injected or infused into your skin through a skin needling technique.
During your pre-procedural therapy appointment, the delivery choices you receive will be discussed with you and will depend on the results you hope to achieve.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU HAVE A PRP VAMPIRE FACIAL?
Generally speaking, a course of three treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is advised, though frequency may vary based on your skin's initial condition, the impact of your lifestyle, and your expectations.
Aesthetic maintenance can be performed with top-up treatments every one to two years, once you are satisfied with the outcome.
During your appointments, your Cosmetic Nurse will provide you with advice and consultation regarding the home maintenance and/or in-clinic treatments that will best support and maintain your results.
WHAT CAN PRP THERAPY BE USED FOR?
Areas of concern on the face, neck, and décolletage are treated with PRP at Crystal Cosmetic Clinic. common goals include:
• Reducing wrinkles, creases, and fine lines
• Scars from acne and other surface wounds
• Areas with sun damage and pigmentation
• Tightening loose skin.
• Thickening hair
PRP can also be applied in places where dermal filler may have been used traditionally, such as to lessen dark circles under the eyes and improve volume.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A PRP TREATMENT?
What your PRP treatment entails will vary based on the particular PRP therapy that you have been prescribed. A typical therapy will consist of the following steps:
We draw a small amount of blood into tubes (the procedure is identical to that of a regular blood test). The tubes are placed in a centrifuge, which spins them and separates the platelet-rich plasma from the other blood components.
Meanwhile, we prepare your skin with a gentle cleanser and numbing cream will be applied. The platelet-rich plasma is then injected into the treatment area.
IS A CONSULTATION REQUIRED BEFORE A PRP THERAPY APPOINTMENT?
Skin Consultation or a Cosmetic Injectables Consultation is recommended. This allows our cosmetic nurse to assess your skin and determine whether PRP Therapy is suitable for you.

PRP AFTERCARE See PRP Aftercare advice here. We’ll discuss your PRP Therapy Aftercare during your treatment appointment. PRP THERAPY POST-TREATMENT CARE
To achieve the best results and avoid any adverse reactions to your PRP treatment, it is critical that you follow your aftercare instructions, which will be discussed with you during your visit and provided to you in the form of a brochure to take home.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a natural substance taken from your blood that has been injected into your skin. As a result, it is fragile and must be handled with care in order to finish its rejuvenating work, particularly in the first 48 hours.
The injection area will feel tighter immediately after the treatment, and wrinkles and lines will appear lessened. This degree of skin tightening will not persist, and your skin will return to normal over the next four days; nevertheless, beneath the skin, the PRP treatment has begun to work its magic, producing new cells and enhancing the skin's subsurface layers.
Please follow the following suggestions to maximize the therapeutic advantages of PRP Therapy: • Do not wash your face or apply liquid make-up for 12 hours after the treatment. • If you need to wash your face, do so after 4 hours and use warm water without soap • If you need pain relief, use paracetamol • Do not use any anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen • Avoid oral steroids such as prednisone for 7 days post procedure with permission from your prescribing physician. Patients who regularly take aspirin, resume 48 hours post procedure, unless otherwise directed by physician.
SWELLING In some situations, patients may experience considerable swelling in the under-eye area. This is due to the body commencing an enhanced regenerating process, which is frequently visible throughout the treatment. Your treatment specialist will evaluate any swelling and, if necessary, apply ice for a brief amount of time to calm the local response and reduce post-procedure downtime.
If the swelling worsens after you leave the clinic, apply ice wrapped in a clean towel to the region for 5 to 10 minutes, up to 3 times a day, and sleep with an extra pillow for the first night to help minimize it.
INFECTIONS Infections caused by PRP are exceedingly rare; nonetheless, if you notice growing swelling, redness, heat, leaking, or changes to the treatment site within 24 hours of your procedure, please contact Crystal Cosmetic Clinic or speak to your Cosmetic Nurse.
SORENESS PRP Skin Rejuvenation Therapy stimulates the production of collagen in the skin as well as the body's natural healing reactions. Because the growth factors are more concentrated, the healing reaction is stronger, and the application site may feel as if it has been injured feeling sore, tender to touch, and heated. These symptoms may last for up to four days before subsiding.
PROGRAM FOR SKIN REJUVENATION PRP Therapy is intended to be used in conjunction with a full skin rejuvenation program administered by your Crystal Cometic Clinic Cosmetic Nurse.

WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE PRP TREATMENT?
PRP is safe for most people and has minimal contraindications; nevertheless, individuals with the following conditions are not good candidates for PRP treatment:
o Blood and platelet issues
o Cancer, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy
o Acute and chronic infections
o Anticoagulation therapy o Oral corticosteroids taken within ten days of the PRP process
o Maternity or breastfeeding
During a Skin Consultation or a Cosmetic Injectables Consultation, your cosmetic nurse will address any drugs you are currently taking, any medical issues you may have, as well as your suitability for the procedure.
If you are unsure whether PRP is suitable for you, schedule a Skin Consultation or a Cosmetic Injectables Consultation.
CAN I EXPECT IMMEDIATE RESULTS FROM A PRP VAMPIRE FACIAL?
Results are normally noticeable 2-3 weeks following your treatment, with the full effect appearing 3-4 months later.
Because a Vampire Treatment improves and accelerates your skin's natural collagen synthesis with your own cells and growth rich platelets, your skin will appear rejuvenated over time. As your skin's collagen regenerates, it will appear smoother, plumper, and more rejuvenated.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE A PRP VAMPIRE FACIAL?
Although frequency will vary depending on your skin's initial condition, lifestyle effect, and expectations, a series of three treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is commonly recommended.
Once you're satisfied with the results, you may maintain the results by having top-up treatments every 1-2 years.
In between appointments, your Cosmetic Nurse will discuss with you and advise you on which home care and/or in-clinic treatments would best support and maintain your results.
