FAQ
HOW DERMAL FILLER WORKS?
Dermal fillers rejuvenate and give volume to the skin, reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and creating a more natural, softer appearance by increasing the skin's supply of hyaluronic acid. Dermal filler is a soft, gel-like substance that, when injected under the skin, can have a variety of aesthetic results, such as enhancing features, defining facial features, replacing lost volume, encouraging moisture, minimizing fine lines, and increasing overall radiance. The results depends on the filler's density, the injection technique, and the area being treated. Treatment can carry potential risks and adverse reaction. Results and longevity of dermal filler treatments can vary from patient to patient. You cosmetic nurse will go through these in details with you during your consultation.
Is dermal filler anti-aging?
Dermal filler has shown to be very effective for anti-aging
as it boosts collagen, elastin, and hydration support.
We lose elasticity, subcutaneous fat, structural support from fat pads, and collagen formation as we get older. Our features become less defined, saggier, and skin creases develop as a result of ageing.
Dermal filler helps to rebuild facial tissues and lift, add volume, moisturize, and rejuvenate the face in a minimally invasive and natural-looking way.

When will I see the results?
Results can be seen straight away, however there can be some bruising and swelling after treatment. Two to four weeks post treatment, you will see the optimal possible results. Dermal fillers can last up to 18 months, with the average duration being 6 to 12 months.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR DERMAL FILLER APPOINTMENT
Your dermal filler visit will start with a consultation with a Registered Nurse and one of our friendly Doctors who, if no contraindications are found, will write a prescription for your dermal filler.
The procedure then begins. A specialised numbing cream may be used to the treatment region by your nurse to reduce pain (depending on the treatment area) and clean the injection site(s) with an antibacterial agent.
The dermal filler will be injected into the treatment area(s) once the numbing cream takes effect. The majority of patients typically endure minor discomfort that may be caused by the injections with a little discomfort. Typically, the treatment lasts between 10 and 15 minutes.
You might experience mild to moderate swelling, bruising, and/or pain in the treatment area right after the treatment. It is common with dermal filler treatments. It usually goes away in 24 to 72 hours, however it might take up to two weeks for more extensive procedures.
We suggest scheduling a Cosmetic Injectables Consultation first if it's your first consultation at Crystal Cosmetic Clinic. Your Nurse will take the time during the appointment to learn about your objectives and answer to all of your questions you may have. Following a facial assessment and skin analysis, your nurse will give you information about your treatment options and costs.
